Welcome!
Non-Surgical
Facial Rejuvenation & Contouring
With so many treatments available, it can be hard to know what truly works. This guide aims to break things down into simple terms so you can better understand your options and make informed decisions.
My Approach
I have been practising non-surgical aesthetics since 2019. Alongside my UK training as a Plastic Surgeon, I hold a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies. I have also been a trainer in aesthetics to other healthcare professionals on Harley Street, London.
My practice combines safety, evidence-based treatments, and an understanding of both Eastern and Western aesthetic ideals. Each plan is tailored to your needs, with the aim of achieving natural results that enhance your features while preserving options for the future.
The Layers of the Face
Ageing affects the face at multiple levels, and each layer contributes differently:
-
Skin – pigmentation, acne scars, uneven texture
-
Muscle – wrinkles, muscle bulk (e.g. masseter)
-
Fat – volume loss, hollowing, sagging
-
Bone – structural loss that changes overall support
Recognising which layer is responsible is key to choosing the right treatment:
-
Skin changes – lasers, IPL, chemical peels, dermabrasion/microneedling
-
Wrinkles & muscle bulk – botulinum toxin
-
Fat or bone-related volume loss – hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers
What to Expect from Non-Surgical Treatments
-
Temporary results – botulinum toxin lasts around 3–6 months; fillers typically 9–12 months. Maintenance is needed for ongoing results
-
Combination approach – addressing several layers together achieves more natural, balanced outcomes compared with treating one area alone
-
Risks remain – although less invasive than surgery, these treatments still carry potential complications and must be performed safely
-
Individual variation – response to treatment differs between people, so before/after photos are only a rough guide
Treatments I Do Not
Usually Offer
Not all popular treatments are equally safe or effective. I avoid certain procedures because of long-term risks:
-
Threads – risk of extrusion, infection, and scarring; future surgery (e.g. facelift, rhinoplasty) becomes more complex and riskier
-
Energy-based devices (ultrasound, radiofrequency) – require multiple sessions and usually only give subtle results; heat may also cause internal scarring that complicates later surgery
-
Non-HA fillers – since they cannot be dissolved in an emergency, complications such as vascular occlusion may lead to severe outcomes, including tissue damage or vision loss
